Our state is at a critical crossroads. Californians want our schools to provide a well-rounded education, including the arts. Employers are seeking workers who are creative problem-solvers. Yet, in too many communities, we are failing our kids and our future. The curriculum is too narrow, and schools are producing test-takers, not imaginative thinkers.
Policies must change. School funding must change. That’s where the Alliance comes in. We’ve built an army of advocates to help change policies, funding, and accountability measures at the state and school district level. In this section, you can read more about who we are and what we do. We hope you’ll join the movement with a donation or by signing up for our action network.
