Arts Education is ALIVE in Huntington Beach!

What an exciting few weeks it has been for Arts Education in Huntington Beach!

On April 20th, the Creative Visions & Imagination Celebration Gala was held at the Huntington Beach Art Center. The reception featured visual art, photography, videos and more from local K-12 students, plus outstanding live musical performances from students at Eader, Hawes and Moffett. (See more photos)

Earlier in April, the Orange Count Arts Education Collaborative Fund awarded grants to both Oceanview and Huntington Beach City School Districts for projects related to the Arts Advantage Program! “Arts education is widely believed to be key in developing 21st century work skills and creative thinking”, said Sarah Murr, community investor for Boeing, co-sponsor of the fund. Then on May 15th, the HBCSD School Board honored the district's Arts Advantage Facilitators and participating teachers for their hard work and dedication. Way to go!
